Building Surveys (L3)

A Building Survey (RICS Level 3 equivalent) is the most comprehensive type of property report available. It provides an in-depth analysis of the property’s condition, including detailed advice on defects, repairs, and maintenance options. Depending on your needs, we can also include cost estimates for repairs to help you understand the financial implications.

As standard, our building surveys also include a drone survey - enabling safe, accurate, and detailed inspections of hard-to-reach areas such as chimneys and roofs, which are typically the most exposed and vulnerable parts of a building.

This survey is essential for older properties (typically pre-1930s), large or unusual buildings, properties that have been significantly altered, or those of non-standard construction. It’s also highly recommended if you’re planning major works to the property.

The report includes a detailed description of the construction and condition of each element, diagnosis of defects, repair and maintenance advice, and an overall summary assessment with condition ratings, recommended repairs, and suggested further investigations.
